What can I expect from my personal training sessions?

Many people believe that personal training is just about losing weight, toning up and improving physical appearance. However, personal training offers much more. It is the key to achieving meaningful well being by increasing energy levels and reducing stress – one of the primary causes of illness and lost productivity in the UK today. So let’s get rid of that nagging headache or that old back pain – come and see us today! After all it’s not just about looking good, but also about feeling good!

Personal Training at Gymbo’s provides a workout that is designed specifically for you - taking into account not only your strengths and weaknesses but also the exercises you like and dislike.

Personal training is ideal for those wanting fast results and can contribute to a healthy and well balanced lifestyle.  Personal Training is also an effective and low stress exercise option  for sufferers of a number of conditions such as: (not limited to) obesity, diabetes, heart, muscular and bone conditions; who should seek professional exercise supervision to make sure they do not adversely affect their condition.

With personal training at Gymbo’s you can expect not only a completely personalised exercise programme, but also the following:

  1. Motivation
  2. Guidance
  3. Advice
  4. Encouragement
  5. Supervision
  6. Instruction

With our personal training it’s not just about the sessions themselves, but also the support we offer you around those sessions, and the time dedicated to designing you an effective and safe workout.

How often do I need to exercise?

Simply put, you get out what you put in!  Exercising once a week is better than not exercising at all, but as part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, we recommend that you try your best to undertake some moderately physical activity for one hour, three times a week.  Personal training can obviously help you achieve this ideal and give you a real kick start!

How often will I need personal training sessions?

It is recommended that you have a minimum of one personal training session a week, so that the trainer can guide and monitor your progress on a regular basis.

Superior results are achieved by clients who use a trainer three times a week, as this enables the instructor to produce a varied work out that not only stimulates your muscles, but also your mind by introducing you to different workouts within the week. Using a trainer several times a week is ideal for those who struggle to motivate themselves to exercise.

For those who are interested in one or two sessions a week, you are encouraged to workout at least once or twice a week extra yourself, whether it be just a run or using the local gym. The trainer will give you guidance how best to spend your time exercising during the rest of the week and a complimentary extra programme to follow.

Our personal training packages (booking several sessions at once) offer great savings. When you book a personal training package, you will be given a free nutritional consultation (see nutrition section of the website).

For details of our packages, a look around the gym or to discuss how we can help you, please call at any time for a friendly, no obligation discussion.
